Welcome!

Embracing Life.

Welcome to your own space where crafting a vision for your life creates the pathway for a life that you enjoy. You may be feeling frustrated with your life and wish that it would change, but are may not even be sure what it is you want to do.

In my coaching room I often hear clients express dissatisfaction with their lives. They know what they don’t want. Yet they don’t know what they do want. This sort of limbo leaves people feeling frustrated with themselves and stuck – they want to create a new life but they don’t actually know what that looks like. This means that they can’t get there.

ENOUGH OF THIS STRUGGLE

It’s time to learn how to live an authentic life.  Join me, learn from me and allow me to learn from you… Together we can build a future that is clear and bright.

In case you’re wondering who I am and why you should go down this path with me…

I’m Kirsten Long. Thanks for visiting my blog. My own journey to the place I’m at now has been a long and arduous one. I’ve had two other careers, both of which I was pretty successful at, but never passionate about. This often left me wondering if there was more to life than this! I do have a habit of being upbeat about my day, but it was difficult to maintain this status quo when I wasn’t truly passionate about what I was doing.

This feeling of dissatisfaction grew, until I had had enough!  I studied Applied Life Coaching, I resigned and I started working from home.  Knowing nothing about how to run a coaching business has been a challenge. I have learnt so much – about myself, about others and about coaching. What I have realised is, that although it’s been difficult, I feel so strongly  centred  in my own self that I wake everyday knowing that I’m doing the right thing with my life. This feeling tells me that I living authentically.

This does not mean that my life is perfect. I am always reaching for a goal, changing something about my way of being or merely learning something new. Although I am perpetually working towards something, I do so with a feeling of satisfaction and content that lies deep within me. I also believe that if my life was 100% perfect or  if I had nothing more to learn then there would no longer be a reason for me to be here on earth.  No paradise on earth for me then….. As long as I am still reaching for something, I am happy.

I’ve been married for 26 years and have three grownup children. I treasure these special people who have taught me much about love, fear and laughter. This, together with my years of teaching (10 yrs) and coaching (10 yrs), has given me insight into the inner world of thoughts. I believe my innate ability to give clarity to situations stems from years of experience– with clients, students, family, friends, colleagues, bosses… and of course, with myself!

I love connecting with people because it always brings my curiosity about our inner worlds to the fore. In a nutshell I love people and I love to hear from people, so tell me about your woes and successes on my blog, email or twitter. I’ll learn from you and you’ll learn from me.

    Hi Kirsten,

I recently read and enjoyed your article on Think Simple Now. I was considering guest posting on their site and was wondering if you would mind sharing a bit of your experience. Did you get an increase in traffic to your site when you posted? Do you plan on posting to Think Simple Now again?

    Thanks in advance!
